God Dethroned - Bloody Blasphemy - 1999

God Dethroned has an incredible knack for writing music that is as catchy as hell, while retaining an extremely brutal edge. With a healthy dose of Black Metal injected into their sound, Bloody Blasphemy came at a moment when it sounded both fresh and frightening. The album proved that there were still new soundscapes to be explored within the Death Metal construct, and thanks to the superior songwriting skills of mastermind Henri Sattler, Bloody Blasphemy still holds up as a crushing slab of Blackened Death.
